Alternative therapy

It's so romantic to think that the eyes are windows to the soul... Too bad that the mouth has to be the back door! I guess I need a back door man...

O conto do senhor Perfeito

Mindwalk

For those of you we forgive
for those of you we forget
something has to be said:
you were useless indeed!
For those of you who forgive
for those of you who forget
do look elsewhere
for here and now
your hearts must be dead:
the façade  is replacing the man
at light-speed.

*this is dedicated to those of you who have impersonated the character you've created till the end of time

MIdnight Passenger

"And this isn't a war, we don't have to ration
Wave white flag and you kept it at home
And words I wrote from a foreign land
You're holding my no longer foreign hand"

AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGHH!!!!
When the hell do we get to belong?
Save the day but don't earn the feeling?

SCREW YOU!
(Sorry, I've just FLUSHED MY WHITE FLAG!!!)

11.26 PM. Hubby's asleep and I'm being carried away by Mallu Magalhães. My neighbours are having their usual fun and I feel free for having dumped facebook and orkut at the same time,  two scumbag boyfriends who never deserved my precious minutes or my respect. So much more time to read, watch breathtaking films and think of what it is that I want, wonder how strange people can be. "The sentimental education" is still calling my name, but there's such good music on that I just feel like appreciating the breeze, trying to make sense of each and every word... I listen to Mallu Magalhães, to Paolo Nutini, and  it makes me gaze at my now and then with the most admiring eyes. My existence hasn't been in vain after all. I stare at Mrs. Arnoux, her eyes look straight back at me. Neighbours are still partying, hubby's still sleeping, breeze's still blowing, music's still playing - I'm the only one in the room who's not the same anymore.

Stingy

Oh, my friend, we could've... yes, we could've indeed! We could've and we should've, but then I got high and you got away... Our current lives have become an after-party of what we could've said. Time to raise a toast to regrets, to sing songs which could've made no sense for quite a while... Time to think that oh, dear, we could've; how much we could've; how far we could've; and thank God we never did.

The Others

Well, I must say: love sucks! I wonder why we all need it so desperately... I feel like a puppet on a big stage, rambling from east to west, begging with weary eyes for someone to take me away from another painful and penniless day. Today I was reading "The sentimental education" - I just needed a better idea - and an old thought crossed my mind: what about them? What about those who love us without our consent? Without our knowledge or against our will? The more I read, the more it interested me. What about them? Who are they? How do they know anything about us? Do they wonder, do they wait? Do they make plans for a lifetime? Are they sure their time is about to come? Do they feel any pain? In their dreams, am I pretty? Am I good? Do they honestly believe what they feel is love? Does it really matter to me? No, not really. I should keep reading to see what happens next.

Beautiful stranger

Prestou-me atenção, e doeu-lhe o peito ao mencionar as máculas da minha alma a apodrecer-me o corpo lentamente.

Não me deixe

Não me deixe esquecer os contornos de seu rosto, a alegria em sua face;
Não me deixe esquecer a candura de seu sorriso, o brilho dos seus olhos;
Não me deixe perder de vista a maciez de suas mãos, o calor da sua pele;
Não me deixe ter que reencontrá-lo para poder me lembrar.

Big Girl's food for thought

"When I was young, some women told me they loved me for my long eyelashes. I accepted. Later it was for my wit. Then for my power and money. Then for my talent. Then for my mind-deep. OK, I can handle all of it. The only woman who scares me is the one who loves me for myself alone. I have plans for her. She can't be allowed to live. Especially if she is sexually faithful and never lies and always puts me ahead of everything and everyone."
(From Fools die, by Mario Puzo)

Teste vocacional

Instead of asking ourselves how many plans we can have, we should wonder how many people we can be. One who cares, one who lies, one who doesn't give a shit, one who tries to cope, one who wants to believe, one who tries to forget, one who breaks down and cries for that, one who worries about useless things, one who wants to be a rock star, one who's a selfish motherfucker, one who pretends to ignore, one who could ride a bike and live in a tent, one who keeps massaging ideas and another one who sees a point  in making them happen... one who prays for guidance, one who's supposed to know the way. Once you've figured that out, it's as pure as Math: if you realise that in your head everybody is smiling and pointing at the same spot, go ahead and make some money - otherwise, you'd better lock your fellas in a room for a few days, feed them with beer and, after some sex and rock'n'roll, wait for an album filled with the greatest hits.
